Warning… as I began this… and as I felt led… it became a ‘longer than my usual’… more detailed study of God’s provision for us in Christ… our eternal High Priest… our mediator…our intercessor… our Lord… and I hope if ‘you persevere through it’… it will bless your heart…

Spurgeon wrote — and this also describes me: “I myself, standing in Him, am accepted in the Beloved; and all my polluted works, though in themselves only objects of divine abhorrence, are so received, that God smelleth a sweet savour. He is content and I am blessed. See, then, the position of the Christian–”a priest– standing–before the angel of the Lord.”

Thanksgiving…and what I am most thankful for… that He is God… and His merciful grace is by His provision for us in Christ…

but some would say… is He fair…how can He exclude some from His Kingdom and family…how can He allow certain things to happen if He is a God of love…does He have ‘the right’ to select or choose those who are ‘saved by Him in Christ’…does He truly ‘raise up all governments’…and even ‘use evil’ for ‘His purposes’…
