Does God Give a Second Chance After Death?

As always, these are my own opinions formed by my studying the Bible, and ‘triggered by a sermon I heard of this title this morning.’ I am not infallible, nor even a scholar, and certainly not a minister, nor your Holy Spirit—-therefore this is written with the same passion I always write with, but meant to stimulate your own hearts and minds to search Scripture for the truth. Certainly too, this is contrary to the belief of some—-but is NOT intended to judge them nor to correct them, nor to criticize them. Their belief is between them and God, as is mine.


To ‘know the mind of God’ on important aspects and issues—-as well as challenges we face in this life is so ‘empowering’ as it presents to us a ‘guide for our lives.’ But knowing ‘this life will end’—-it is also so important to understand His promises to us who are ‘in Christ’ and that our ‘transition’ to being with Christ eternally is immediate—-because then we are comforted, and can look forward with anticipation to our death knowing we will be with Him. What peaceful assurance that is! Also we should not be confused about this, nor placed into a position of ‘bondage’ or ‘misinterpretation’ of Scriptures concerning this.


There is a huge struggle for us, between Satan and his demonic powers, and God’s Holy Spirit, who desires that we ‘all be saved’ and know His peace, and that our eternal life is forever ‘assured’ in Christ—-that ‘once saved’ we are ‘always saved’ and ‘in Christ.
