Messiah in Both Testaments
Those “not saved”—–who “scoff at Jesus, and the Bible,” may at some time in their lives become curious, or even more than curious, and ask us why we “believe.” What makes this book, the Bible, so powerful in our lives?
We know two major “religions” that use “a portion of the Bible for the foundation of their faith, while denying or perverting the true revelation, or the part they don’t “believe.” We know there are several “religions” even under the guise of Christianity, who have taken the Bible, but then, added to or deleted from it a “new revelation” or created their own doctrine or authority, to form the doctrine they adhere to, and allow to over ride the final authority of the Bible.
So, when, and if asked, what would we say, as to why we “believe” that this book is the Word of God, and reveals His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ? I have included this study for you, and your files, so you have what to me proves many of these premises. I am a trophy of God’s grace through Jesus Christ, His Son. And, I am like my friend Zig Ziglar, I believe the Bible from Genesis to Maps in the back! (And of course, that is to emphasize the point, because my belief is from the first verse of Genesis to the last verse of Revelations!) I believe it is the Word of God revealing Himself to His creation——and, I believe the central theme of the Bible is Jesus Christ, so am thankful this study, as you get into it you will see, presents Christ from the Old Testament first, and we see Him revealed (fulfilled) in the New Testament as far as His first advent. It is a book of prophecy——–and shows the majority of prophecy fulfilled, except for the end times, and Christ’s second coming——which I also believe will happen just as prophesied in the Bible, and then, will be clear to us. But with the preponderance of prophecy already fulfilled, it should leave no doubt that the rest will happen too, just as the Lord has revealed it will.
