Absolute Truth and Where To Find It

I am not a Biblical scholar, nor a pastor, nor anyone’s teacher. However, I hear things that trouble me, and instead of accepting a person’s opinion, even if they claim to be a man of God, I always try to study the Bible to see if from what I gain through that study, whether or not I believe them. So, this is stimulated by several things I have heard—–some recently, and some over a period of time. Today, I felt the drive to try to write some of what I believe in answer to some of these “issues.” I am not doing this to convince you, rather to stimulate you to seek the truth in God’s word.

Absolute Truth and Where To Find It

In today’s world, one of the deceptions I believe Satan would foster is that “there is no absolute truth.”

Thus, many are disillusioned, and want to “act on feelings.” Our morality is then conceived and conducted by our feelings.

Is the Bible the infallible word of God?

Is Jesus God? Or is He just “a God?”

When He was crucified and buried, did God the Father raise Him from the dead?

Why would God profess to be a God of love and condemn anyone to hell?

Is hell real?

Is Satan real?

Are Jews (of the Jewish faith) lost?

Are Muslims condemned to hell?

If a child dies and has not heard of Jesus, or made a profession of faith in Christ, is that child condemned to hell?

Matthew 9

Thoughts to share with you from my study of the word this morning: may it stimulate your heart toward the Lord.

Matthew 9:16, 17: No man putteth a piece of new cloth unto an old garment, for that which is put in to fill it up taketh from the garment and the rent is made worse. Neither do men put new wine into old bottles: else the bottles break, and the wine runneth out, and the bottles perish: but they put new wine into new bottles, and both are preserved.
