Thanksgiving…and what I am most thankful for… that He is God… and His merciful grace is by His provision for us in Christ…
but some would say… is He fair…how can He exclude some from His Kingdom and family…how can He allow certain things to happen if He is a God of love…does He have ‘the right’ to select or choose those who are ‘saved by Him in Christ’…does He truly ‘raise up all governments’…and even ‘use evil’ for ‘His purposes’…
“For He saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.” Romans 9:15 Continue Reading »

God chooses those who will receive His salvation in Christ…
“The exceeding greatness of His power to us-ward who believe according to the working of His mighty power, which He wrought in Christ, when He raised Him from the dead.”

Some of the most troublesome thoughts are concerning ‘our understanding’ of God’s total sovereignty – especially in the concept of ‘predestiny’ and ‘our salvation.’ I am not trying to ‘convince you’ of anything on this, and get into a dialogue on predestiny versus man’s freewill and freedom of choice – but to just present some thoughts for your stimulation.

But, there is our salvation—and there is our “walk with Him while here on earth”.
And, Satan is alive, and real!

With this added May 22, 2005: Taken from Charles Stanley’s In Touch: In relation to Romans 8:28-30 he says, “He foreknew the choice we’d make to follow Him, so He marked or predestined us as His own before our birth—–and during our lifetime, He calls and justifies us.
With this footnote added September 21, 2000; By William MacDonald:
Using Acts 13:48 as the verse to reference this and considering that “All who were appointed to eternal life believed.” This verse is a simple statement of the sovereign election of God. It should be taken at its face value and believed. The Bible teaches definitely that God chose some before the foundation of the world to be in Christ. It teaches with {in his words, not mine} equal emphasis that man is a moral free agent and that if he will accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, he will be saved.
